	Greencraft are eco friendly builders which I wouldn't really care about, but they did great work on our Wellington rental property - on time and under budget (unheard of for Auckland builders...) and using eco friendly building methods (minimizing site waste, materials and adhesives selection, reusing existing timber where possible etc ) was a bonus so had a good feeling when paying their modest invoice. 	S & B Construction were in our house adding a second floor for 6 months. All builders (up to 5 or 6 at times) were a total delight to have around. They were totally trustworthy, good humoured, and we enjoyed having them. We missed them when they were gone. 	Really good quality of workmanship and good communicator regarding price overshoots. Only problem was final payment when we couldn't get the final bank payment until council sign off was received. Wasn't his fault we couldn't get sign off but he had no understanding for our problem and sent us straight to debt collection. With the best will in the world we couldn't make the final payment without sign off. Read review

	BR's quote was very high but given the need for the repairs it was partially accepted. (Shame on me for not obtaining at least three quotes). Once the quote was accepted my calls to BR were not returned at all or were returned very late. Some promised follow-up calls were not returned. I requested (on three occasions) that the workmen not show up unannounced but they ignored me and continually showed up without contacting me. The workmen did not clean up efficiently, leaving nails and pieces ... Read reviews

Went over time and then demanded additional payment, over and above quote, to compensate for extra time spent on the job. 	Suprisingly for such a large established company with a good reputation, the whole process from start to finish showed inexperience and lack of co ordination of trades. The project Manager did harldy any Project Managing, leaving a lot of unplanned work for us to organise, considering this was a full service build contract. The Builders for some reason tried to finish a month ahead of schedule, resulting in them hurrying, causing a lot of unnecessary mistakes, which were fixed by the Project Man... Read review

	The job was quoted for 3 weeks and took 8 months, including 3 months where we were left with no kitchen, no living room, no bathroom and only one outside tap working, and we lived onsite. Communication and project management was very poor. We had to fight to get the job finished to spec and no more. The fact it was a renovation was blamed for everything. 	We employed him in March 08 to build a garage with a guest room on top. Since we fired him 2 months ago, it is the opinion of our new builders that every aspect of the construction is at fault. It is not square, two upper walls have had to be rebuilt, the steel construction is out of line, the length of the garage is 40mm longer than it should be etc etc. He is not a builder I would want on my project again. 	We payed for plans in June 2006 and - after months of unanswered phone calls and emails - had received no plans from them. Much like reviewer kiwigal, we were promised a refund on numerous occasions but have yet to receive this. The only consolation is that our losses - while not insubstantial - are probably way less than those of the poor people who had actually signed contracts. FYI, the full company name these builders were trading under was: PP 2M CONSTRUCTION LTD T/A VACATION HOMES. Read reviews
